Stink Slayer is operated by Mitchell John Harrison (ABN 71 897 191 531), trading as Stink Slayer. We sell Australian-made soap and related products and offer a membership program called The Crew.

2. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We only collect information you provide directly to us:

  • Email address — when you create an account, join The Crew, or sign up for updates.
  • Password — stored as a secure, one-way hash. We cannot see your password.
  • Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Name and shipping address — collected by Stripe at checkout for order fulfilment.

We do not use cookies for tracking, run analytics software, or collect location data.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process your orders and membership subscription
  • Send you fishing reports, guides and member communications you signed up for
  • Respond to your enquiries
  • Comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the site:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Your payment data is handled under Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Supabase — secure database hosting for account information.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Vercel — website hosting.

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and industry-standard security practices.

5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

If you sign up for updates or join The Crew, we will send you emails including weekly fishing reports, guides and promotional content. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at stinkslayerr@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify you by email. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
