What's actually in it, and what it does
Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulphate)
The classic warm-soak salt. Traditionally used after hard physical effort, magnesium and sulfate are believed to be partly skin-absorbed in a warm bath.
Magnesium Chloride
A second magnesium salt, often considered more readily skin-absorbed than Epsom salt. Tops up the soak's magnesium content.
Kaolin Clay
A soft, low-abrasion clay that draws oil, sweat and grime out of the skin without stripping it, the same way a clay face mask works.
Bicarbonate Soda
Softens the bath water and helps the salts and clay disperse evenly. Traditionally added to baths to take the edge off itchy or irritated skin.
Eucalyptus Oil
Essential oil, adds the sharp eucalyptus scent.
Pine Needle Oil
Essential oil, adds a fresh pine scent.
Cedarwood Oil
Essential oil, adds a warm, woody scent.
Rosemary Oil
Essential oil, adds an herbal note.
Orange Oil
Essential oil, adds a citrus note.
